I’d like to take a moment to introduce the latest web site to join our growing portfolio.

This one belongs to LARP Safety LTD, a family run health and safety consultancy that provides a highly professional and considered service primarily to the construction industry.

Our brief was to supply a simply and friendly site that had the possibility of  adding features for clients whilst also being social media friendly.

The resulting design is simple, easy to follow and makes use of LARP Safetys’ preferred fonts and colour scheme.

Christmas will soon be upon us, and a great many of us will be shopping online again this year. This is not an article for old hands, rather it is a little seasonal advice for those venturing into their first Internet Christmas shopping spree. So here are the 10 top tips for shopping at Christmas

1. Don’t leave it late. Never assume that next day deliveries can happen next day. Remember you are dealing with the vagaries of Christmas post and seasonal chills. Order your goods in plenty of time.
2. Always check stock. Only ever use web sites that tell you up front if an item is in stock or not. Your well timed shopping could be thrown into disarray if the shop cannot get stock.
3. Keep track of your order numbers – you probably will not need them but should the worst happen these will help smooth out any problems.
4. If a product costs more than £100 use a credit card – as both retailer and credit card issuer are jointly liable should there be a problem with the goods – this simply gives you more places to  get help from if things go wrong.
5. Keep an eye on your email. Most Internet shops will give you progress reports on your orders progress and this information can save your stress.
6. Have a cuppa to hand when you shop to help you take your time. Taking your time makes sure you check all details on the goods you are ordering. You want to get this right first time.
7. Shop around – to make sure you are getting the best deals around.
8. Take into the account of the price of postage and delivery. Too many surprises on delivery cost can sour your happy cloud shopping.
9. Only use shops that offer secure transactions.
10. Be organized – Internet shopping may be convenient but you can still end up comparing dozens of products over many shops and that can be stress inducing so keep notes, and track what you are doing.

We’d like to draw your attention to Flexible Solutions – an on site hydraulic hose service company. We were asked toproduce a one page web site that draws attention to the company. A single page is not a lot space so the key for us was to a way of combining the essential information that you would need to see in a dynamic way.Our answer was to set aside space for links to other web sites that Flexible Solutions is associated to and then along side this create a series of panels that are easy to read that will help you quickly learn essential information such as telephone numbers and services offered.

Blaenavon Community First is a local news and events portal for community groups and organisations with the Blaenavon area. The aim was to find a CMS that the staff at Communities First in Blaenavon could learn to use so that the site could become a lively and relevant publication that serves its local area well. As a result we worked on the design of the site – to create something that is clean, simple and easy to look and then coupled this with a training program that has made web editors out of the Community First staff.  We are of course committed to long term support of this site – something we do to all of our clients as we believe that a web site is for life and not just for launch.
